Heroes Camp – Prettau® Zirconia Full Arch Restoration with Titanium Bar, Layered with Fresco Ceramics by Zirkonzahn®

This case was produced during Paul Dowlings exclusive training at Heldencampus with Zirkonzahn in September 2023. The upper multilayered variable MPa monolithic zirconia bridge with ceramic layered gingiva and an internal cemented titanium bar is a style of restoration chosen due to the high strength and exceptional aesthetics that can be achieved. The integral titanium bar drastically reduces the weight of the final restoration as well as decreasing the risk of fractures around the connecting areas by maintaining a uniform material thickness throughout the supra-structure.

The zirconia was pre-polished prior to glazing to ensure any future erosion of the glaze layer would cause no harm to the opposing dentition, also allowing more light to refract through the material creating a more realistic effect without the use of ceramics. The anterior teeth were layered with Fresco Ceramics which is ideal for monolithic and slightly reduced zirconia structures.
