The Power Behind the Redevelopment of Our Website

Revamping the PD Ceramics Ltd website recently was a significant undertaking and was made possible as a team through our collaboration with our local Galway website designer Patrick Hladun from Cityweb and our Irish SEO content writer, Sarah Holden. Their support brought numerous benefits to our project and to understand this better we have broken it down into their respective roles in the project to show the advantages of collaborating with these professionals.

Alongside this, we also benefited hugely from our Mentorswork experience earlier in the year, where we got amazing insights, tips and tricks from them on our website redevelopment. Implementing and understanding this advice allowed us to dig into the project and find the best way to bring our new website to life, so here is how it all worked out!

As a team, we assessed what we truly required from our website to provide our patients and clients with the service they deserve. We concentrated mostly on establishing open communication from the clinic to the laboratory, sharing our knowledge/expertise with others, and going the extra mile to provide additional support we gathered by listening to our customers.

We hope this offers a valuable insight to our fellow dental laboratory owners and dental technicians as they strive to showcase their successes as a business in the dental sector.

Benefits of working with a website designer

Professional Design: Patrick’s remit was to create a website design that was visually appealing, professional-looking, and up to date for our service offering as a dental laboratory. Using his knowledge of design principles, user experience, and collaborating with us, we planned to create a website that is aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate, which was crucial for engaging visitors in the form of our customers and patients.

Customisation: We focused on tailoring our website according to our brand identity, so together we feel we created a unique design that represents our business effectively, setting it apart from competitors with generic templates.

Responsive Design: Patrick delved into our need for the website to be responsive, ensuring it looks and functions well on various devices and screen sizes from your phone to your tablet. This is crucial for reaching a broader audience in the age of mobile browsing and for our customers to easily access case studies and information at their fingertips with ease.

Performance Focus: We placed an emphasis on website performance. Our site now provides an effortless and efficient user experience, which is critical in today’s fast-paced digital environment, thanks to Patrick’s technical expertise and our desire to ensure our site performed well at launch stage. As proven by measurements such as GT Metrix, exceptional performance is critical for customer satisfaction and rankings on search engines.

The focus on performance is essential since we serve professionals and patients who require immediate access to critical information. A quick and dependable website might be the difference between a happy visitor and a lost chance.

Long-Term Relationship: Patrick designed our initial website in 2015, which marked the start of our long collaboration. That gave us continuity when we started redeveloping the website this year, and helped to explore and strengthen our core brand identity.

Optimised Images: We had to ensure that we could optimise images and multimedia elements, ensuring that they don’t slow down our site’s loading speed. Fast-loading pages are essential for user experience and SEO, which leads us onto why we chose to work with Sarah Holden.

Benefits of working with an SEO content writer

Keyword Optimisation: Sarah, our SEO content writer, assisted us in understanding the value of naturally inserting keywords into the content of our website. This is critical for optimising our search engine rankings, especially in the challenging field of dentistry, where people can have difficulty with specialised terminology.

Quality Content: Content writing is not something everyone can manage and Sarah’s ability to create high-quality, informative, and engaging content that resonates with our dental audience was achieved as a joint venture. Our initial understanding and insights into dental terminology, content for our specific pages were evaluated and quality content was created that ensures not only that we attract visitors to our website, but also to encourage them to stay on our site longer and explore our offerings.

Content Relevance: Sarah worked with us as a team to research the dental industry and audience to create content that is relevant and valuable, which is not easy to achieve, and takes time to ensure to obtain a successful SEO (see below). Relevant content helps establish our website as an authority in our niche, boosting credibility and building trust for our offerings. It also helped our marketing graduate Sinead understand many areas of this vital element of building and managing a website, along with many other elements of the project.

Link Building: Content writers like Sarah create content that attracts natural backlinks from other websites. As she explained, quality backlinks are crucial for SEO, enhancing our website’s authority and trustworthiness in the eyes of search engines. We want to be a trusted source of information for our customers and their patients.

Keyword Optimisation: As an SEO content writer, Sarah’s involvement in the project was essential to help us understand the importance of incorporating relevant keywords naturally into our website’s content for the dental sector as a dental laboratory. Discovering how crucial SEO analysis was for the growth of our SEO ranking using targeted terminology to reach our audience was a necessity.

Content Relevance: As a team, we researched our industry and audience to create content with Sarah that is relevant and valuable. Relevant content helps establish our website as an authority in our niche, boosting credibility and building trust for our offerings. It also helped our marketing graduate Sinead understand many areas of this vital element of building and managing a website, along with many other elements of the project.

Regular Updates: Whether you are building a website or revamping your current one, content writers can provide fresh, regular updates to your website, such as blog posts or news articles. Sarah’s support has now given us confidence to create regular content and build on our knowledge to enhance SEO in the future. In this day and age, it is also important to understand that search engines favour websites that consistently publish new, relevant content. This also supports our team to collaborate and bring information that will support our journey in marketing and showcasing the dental sectors evolution in various areas in our dental laboratory or in the wider dental community.

User Engagement: Engaging content can lead to higher user engagement, such as comments, social media shares, and interactions. This engagement signals to search engines that your site is valuable and interesting to users. Sarah has given us a great start by reevaluating our content ideas and information to editing it with us to strengthen our user engagement.

Synergy between designer and content Writer

We found from having our website designer Patrick, and our SEO content writer Sarah collaborate with us on this project was that they ensured a harmonious integration of design and content. The design elements were strategically placed to complement the content, enhancing user experience and readability. This synergy created a website that not only looks great but also functions and ranks well in search engine results. The website not only captures visitors’ attention with its design, but also engages them with high-quality, optimised content, leading to improved visibility, credibility, and ultimately, business success.
